    Mission  :

    • Lead and develop Atlas Copco business in Côte d'Ivoire by expanding sales across all Business Area (CT,PT), increasing market presence, and achieving a 1 : 1 Equipment to Service ratio.
    • Improve market knowledge, identify opportunities, and position Atlas Copco as the premier solution provider in Côte d'Ivoire, working towards the vision of being 'First in Mind, First in Choice' in the Ivorian market.
    • Manage and develop the local team, ensuring sufficient resources and training to support growth.
    • The Business Development Manager will work together with the MAB team to support and grow the business in the entire IC and assigned regions.
    • The role of Business Development Manager-Cote D’ivoire will report to GM AC Maroc.
    • Main activities & Responsibilities :

    • The overall responsibility for the role, is to grow the related business in the region, in line with the Divisionals ambitions. Furthermore it is to maximise the profitability through efficient management of all resources involved. This strives for a structured and efficient Sales Management and Territory Management as well as Distributor development and close collaboration with all divisions.
    • Collect and interpret information on customer’s present and future needs in our main markets of cote d'ivoire and wesr Africa and translate this information into “Master Specifications” for business development, so that we maintain and reinforce our leading role in the market
    • Develop and grow business through implementation of sales and marketing strategy in coordination with division strategies.
    • Develop sales plans and activities along guidelines given by Divisions & General Manager, To work closely with the MAB BLMs to achieve our goals in the assigned region by implementing appropriate action plans and optimizing the use of resources (human and material).
    • Optimise the country market coverage by driving a structured Territory Management.
    • Implement and drive the Distributor policy, strategy and training plans, helping to improve the market coverage.
    • Continuously drive a strong Price Management with the aim to grow market shares as well as improving the gross profit.
    • Provide monthly reports showing market share trends, business development results, competitor activity, sales forecasts and prospective activity.
    • Exercise control over Orders Received, Invoicing and Gross Profit associated with the operation.
    • Follow routines and instruction as laid down in our Credit Policy which means that you are responsible for timely payment of customer receivables.
    • Work closely with the Service department, ensuring that service is offered for all new equipment sold, to further develop our aftermarket business related to Division.
    • Optimize and evolve the organizational structure to maximize operational efficiency and deliver unrivalled customer value
    • Continuously monitor and manage the performance of all team members including yearly appraisals, and exercise a proper People management with the aim to always develop the organisation.
    • Develop training programs for employees and partners.
    • Manage and instruct on Safe Working Procedures and Environment.
    • Responsible for staying informed and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies, work environment objectives, and the aspects of the Mission that impact your work. This includes adhering to legal regulations in Côte d'Ivoire and maintaining trade compliance standards.
    • Qualifications  :

      Knowledge / Educational requirements :

    • Master Degree in Engineering preferably in a mechanical field or similar through experience
    • Strong experience within sales and / or marketing in capital equipment or service business
    • High level of knowledge in Atlas Copco products and related applications.
    • Good knowledge of ‘The Way We Do Things’.
    • Experience in sales via distribution networks (indirect sales) is beneficial
    • Fluent in a French and good knowledge in English, both in writing and speaking
